Lake Fork is considered by many to be the premier Black Bass lake of Texas.   Located about 75 miles east of Dallas, TX, 6.5 miles east of Emory and 4.6 miles west of Quitman, Lake fork covers an area of approximately 27,700 acres.

Common fish species include: Largemouth, Yellow, and Hybrid Yellow Bass; Blue Gill, Bowfin, Bigmouth and Smallmouth Buffalo, Black and Yellow Bullhead; Common Carp; Blue, Channel and Flathead Catfish, Freshwater Drum (Gaspergou), Longear and Redear Sunfish and Warmouth.
