Located about seven miles north of Paris near Powderly, Pat Mayes Lake covers about 6,000 acres and is fed by the Sanders Creek which terminates at the Red River.

Fish species of interest to sport fisherman include: white bass, hybrid striped bass, largemouth bass, spotted bass, crappie, and catfish.
