Located just West of Temple and north of Belton, Lake Belton covers about 12,500 acres and is fed by the Leon River and several area creeks. Fish species of interest to sport fisherman include: largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, hybrid striped bass, channel catfish, flathead catfish, white bass, sunfish.
