Located about 5 miles southwest of Bowie, and within 25 miles of Jacksboro, Decatur, Montague and Henrietta, Amon G. Carter Lake covers about 2,126 acres and is feed by area creeks. Fish species of interest to sport fisherman include: Largemouth Bass; Sunfish; Crappie; and Channel Catfish.
