Red Bluff Lake is located about 21 miles northwest of Mentone just east of Highway 285 between Mentone and Carlsbad NM. It is to only reservoir on the Pecos River with a fishable population according to Texas Parks and Wildlife. Red Bluff Lake and the Pecos River north of Interstate 20 tend to be too salty for many fish species. Golden Alge has further reduced fish populations. Fish for white bass and hybrid striped bass. |
