The Texas Department of Parks and Wildlife lists only one fishing lake in the Big Bend region. However, there are several smaller lakes in the region that are stocked by the state. The Rio Grande river, which forms the western abd southern boarders of the region, and the Pecos River, which forms part of the eastern border of the region, offer fishing opportunities.
