 | Fed by the Guadelupe River and area creeks, Canyon Lake is located about seventeen west of San Marcos and fifteen miles north of New Braunfels. The lake covers about 8,200 acres. Common fish species include: Largemouth, Smallmouth, Striped, Striped Hybrid, and White Bass; Channel, Blue, and Flathead Catfish; Crappie; Carp; Longnose Gar; and Rainbow Trout. |
