Fed by the East Fork of the San Jacinto River and  many area creeks,  Lake Houston is located about eighteen miles northeast of Houston boardering the cities of Humble and Kingwood. The lake covers about 12,240 acres. 

Common fish species include: largemouth bass, white bass, white crappie, blue catfish, and bluegill.
