Located about 5 miles east of Zavalla, TX,   the Sam Rayburn reservoir is fed by the Angelina River and numerous creeks and covers an area of about 114,400 acres.

Common fish species include: largemouth bass, crappie, catfish, hybrid striped bass, and white bass.
